Data Protection Applicants

Protecting your privacy is important to us.  It is our responsibility to protect the data and information you entrust to us. Therefore, we process your personal data in compliance with the European Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This privacy policy supplements our general privacy policy.

1. Who is the contact person and responsible person in the application process?

The person responsible for processing your personal data in the application process and when using our applicant portal is the relevant YT Group company, depending on the responsibility and potential area of work:

2. How can you start the application process with us?

You can apply

- for open positions via our website in the "Jobs" section.

-  by e-mail at jobs@yt-industries.com.

The following data is required for this: surname, first name, e-mail address and CV. All other information (certificates, motivation letter, photo) is voluntary.

In addition, a headhunter may have forwarded your application to us. In this case, the headhunter is an independent data controller within the meaning of the GDPR and must have obtained your consent to transfer your application to us.

3. What do we process your data for in the application process?

We process your personal data for the purpose of deciding on the conclusion of an employment relationship or, after the establishment of the employment relationship, for its execution or termination.

The legal basis for the processing of your data within the scope of the application process is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, the implementation of pre-contractual measures within the scope of the employment relationship.

The processing acitivites in detail are:

  • Creation of a candidate profile
  • Communication with you, especially interviews
  • Transfer of your applicant profile to relevant decision-makers within the company
  • Storage and deletion of your applicant data

What is the talent pool?

The talent pool is used to match your application profile with relevant future positions. In the event of a match, we will contact you again. If you expressly wish to be included in our talent pool by giving us your consent by e-mail, we will store your data until you revoke it, but for no longer than 2 years. After this period, your data will be deleted automatically and without separate notification.

The legal basis for this is your consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a GDPR.

5. When will your applicant data be deleted?

We carry out the following deletion practice as part of the applicant process:

  • For applicants who have made a speculative application or were in an active applicant process and do not wish to be included in the talent pool (see below), the deletion of the applicant data takes place three (3) months after rejection.
  • For applicants who have been included in the talent pool, deletion takes place 24 months after inclusion in the talent pool or after the last consent in the case of an extension.

You can also have your applicant profile deleted by us at any time. However, if you were in an active application process, we usually cannot delete your data immediately. In this case, we will block your data for a maximum of 6 months. Individuals in the recruiting department will then only have access to your profile upon request to our system provider. After this blocking period, your data will be completely deleted.

6. Who will your data be transferred to?

Your data will only be used to the extent necessary in each case. If necessary, your data may be passed on within YT.

The processing and storage of data in our applicant portal is carried out by our service provider Personio GmbH, Rundfunkplatz 4, 80335 Munich. The service provider was carefully selected and a corresponding data processing agreements was concluded.

7. What rights do you have?

You have the right to obtain information about your stored data under the respective legal conditions (Art. 15 GDPR), to have data stored by us corrected if it is incorrect (Art. 16 GDPR), to demand deletion (Art. 17 GDPR) as well as blocking and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data transfer (Art. 20 GDPR) of your data.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection supervisory authority in Germany and UK (Art. 77 GDPR).

Right of revocation and objection

If you have given us your consent, you have the option to revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. The revocation does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation.

If we process your data on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (i.e. our legitimate interest in these cases), you can object to the processing of your data at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation. If the objection is in the context of direct marketing, the revocation can also be made without giving reasons.

8. How do we protect your data?

We and our service provider maintain up-to-date technical measures to ensure data security, in particular to protect your personal data from risks during data transmission and from third parties gaining knowledge. These measures are adapted to the current state of the art. To secure the personal data you enter on our website, we use Transport Layer Security (TLS), which encrypts the information you enter. 

9. Can this privacy policy change?

In the course of the further development of our website and the implementation of new legal requirements, new technologies or in order to improve our service for you, changes to this data protection information may become necessary.
